Now Introducing....Khloa August!

So...this post is long overdue, but nonetheless here are some exclusive photos of the new addition to our family: Khloa! (pronounced Klo-uh) And do you even need to know why her middle name is August?? Haha! In true Leo fashion! These were taken when she was 1 month and a few days. We were originally scheduled to do these within her 1st week of birth, but because she was born 6 weeks early she was in the NICU for almost 3 weeks. We would like to thank Aubrey Torrey for such amazing photos! They were just what we wanted. :-) During the 1st part of the shoot, Khloa was excellent. We were so proud of her for doing so well...The 2nd part was a different story, lol. She cried almost the entire time so we had to put the pacifier in her mouth. We're still proud of her though! So the real question is: Who does she look like?

The purse was $2.99 at Micheal's. If she's anything like me, she will love purses! -K.D.

    Situational TV Shows

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! We did. All I wanted was chocolate and Reign filled that request. So I was one happy preggie lady. :D

There's this new show that comes on called One Born Every Minute. It premiered on the Lifetime channel a few weeks. I don't get to see it on the night it comes on (because of The Game), but I do watch it on Demand when I get a chance. This tv show is recorded in a hospital in Ohio (can't remember the name) and they capture the women arriving to the hospital and they take us through their delivery until they give birth. I find the show very funny. The men are....let's just say they couldn't buy a clue. Not all, most. One guy couldn't even sit still! He kept talking about his ADD. One guy told his girlfriend to, "Breath, man." Are they serious? OBEM started reminding me of when I used to look at Bridezillas before Reign & I wed in Aug '09. I watched that show faithfully. It always had me cracking up.

After I got married though, I stopped watching it. The so-called "bridezillas" annoyed me. I went from fan to foe in a matter of months. I wonder if that will be the case with One Born Every Minute. That's why I titled this post situational tv shows. I'm preggie so the show relates to my 'situation' per se...but will I still be watching it after I give birth in May? Probably not!

    Babies? We Just Got Married!

Paula Patton & the hubs Robin Thicke waited 4 yrs before getting pregnant. They are expecting a little boy in May.

So here it is....I've only been married a hot minute and friends & family are already asking "when are ya'll going to have some babies?". Excuse me? We just got married. o_o Nothing against couples who had babies immediately after getting married (or before), but I want to enjoy just being with my husband (only) just a little bit before we had children. Just me & him like the Tony, Toni, Tone song...Am I selfish? Like Robin Thicke once told Essence,“We’re going to enjoy running around the world for a little bit; we’re going to get our “Sex and the City” on, then we’re going to have some children.” This is exactly how I feel!

I will admit that right after we got married, I wanted to throw caution to the wind & have a little k.d or reign. I'm in love with Reign and after we got married I felt closer than ever to him. Then, I had to look at the other side of it. Kids alter plans, decisions, jobs, MONEY, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I know that. The one thing I can't afford a child altering right now is our MONEY. We need that moola so they can have a yard to play in one day. I want to at least have some things in place before we bring a child into this world. And one of those "things" is a house. ;-)

The next time someone asks me when we're having kids, I'm going to say, "When we're ready to have kids, I'll let you know. Right now, we're getting our "Sex and the City" on!" lol!
